The creation of the A Brides Expo event arose from a solid collaboration between two up and coming Caribbean entrepreneurs Joanne Paxton and Peter Shoucair. Both have great event planning expertise and more so, a passion for Destination Wedding Planning, Event Design, Event Management & Production.

In 2012 their team & staff came together to create the first ever Jamaica Bridal Expo; the largest of its kind in The Caribbean. Their annual Jamaica Bridal Expo, which caters to the local and destination wedding market, became such a big success that In 2014, their inclusion of top international wedding planners and speakers resulted in even greater attention for Jamaica’s lucrative romance travel business.

Then in 2016, after seeing the enthusiasm U.K., USA, and Canadian wedding planners and romance-oriented travel agents had for Caribbean themed weddings; and sun, sand, and sea honeymoons; they realized it was time to create the first ever Caribbean Wedding Industry and Awards show. This Caribbean-wide event will launch in September, 2018, and – among others – include interactive workshops, panels and presentations from vendors, world class wedding planners, tour operators, digital and social media experts. Also, awards will be given to travel agents & wedding planners, along with those for resorts and various Caribbean destinations.

After participating in several wedding expos in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, they realized that the needed to bring a new type of bridal expo to Florida . The team again came together to create A Brides Expo. A Brides Expo, which takes bridal shows to a new level of professionalism, production quality, style and entertainment value, specializing in destination weddings and honeymoons.
